Now some may say, "Dude, you post stories from other sites...dont you?" Depending on the story or the source I gotta say NO. When iBlog, its more that likely showin off some images that I shot, ranting about something/someone that has really pissed me off, gadgets, wishlist, my personal takes on movies/music to pay homage to a fallen soldier in the war of life on earth, or something that has happened to me in my daily life...like the time the homeless dude was beggin for money to "get something to eat", and when I gave him my food, he wanted to be picky...Dude actually had the nerve to say, "You coulda had a cheeseburger!" to which I knocked the plate out his hand and went bout my business.
What really chaps my hide is when someone takes a feed from another site and post it, like they were really there. Where that come from? I really think these cats are absolutely lame as hell. Is there really a point for that? Even on twitter...why waste your 140 character limits on something anyone can see on the television or their on personal web surfing sessions? Don't get me wrong...I think that documenting your every move aint where its at either. You got post like, "Getting in the shower", 10 minutes later, "Got out the shower", 5 minutes later, "Fixing a bologna sandwich".... Thats not social networking or blog at all. Thats some anal retentive, short attention span, attention whoring.
I have web pals that I follow to see what they got goin on in their lives, or events that THEY are promoting, or things that they have done. (Shouts out to Me'Shell, who actually put me up on blogging, Andrew Thomas Clifton, a great photographer, who knows how to pimp a camera, Miyah Bailey and the cats from City of Ink who do some fire tattoo work and other cool shit) I think thats cool. Even the magazine and retailers that blog IMO are very cool, cause they are linking you to interviews that they have done or products they are reviewing, promoting, or selling. I love sites like STANDARD's (standardatl.com), COMPLEX MAGAZINE (complex.com), cause they keep u updated with stuff like sneakers which are a guilty pleasure of mine or the latest gear, music, gadgets, etc. There is another site that has a blog... Anthony Logistics for Men (ALFM), they have post on grooming, fragerances (all Anthony products) and other "guy stuff" like hot females...
Even Digital Photography School has a blog and its full of helpful stuff that photographers (amateur and professionals alike) can learn, share, explain things. Review new products, lenses, cameras and equipment, software and all things Nikon (thats what I shoot with...LOL)
As much as it is entertaining to an extent, keep the shit real and post from the left side of your brain and not from someone elses site/page/blog....be original, iBlog
