Holy Google Batman...

Faster than a 3G connection, more powerful than a terabyte hard drive, able to leap web pages in a single bound...Look down on your screen, Its a bird, its a plane...IT'S GOOGLE !!!

These cats have done so much recently to the interface of its services that it doesnt make any damn sense. Today in honor of the annual Comic Con convention in San Diego, California, Internet giant Google has released Comic themes for iGoogle today. I did a lil investigating through the themes pages and saw an array of different comic themes... Women of DC - featuring Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Power Girl, and Black Canary, Green Lantern, and of course Superman along with a Batman and Robin theme. Dont fret "true believers" there is a Mar
vel theme set too, with Iron Man, Captain America, and the Incredible Hulk, (no Spiderman or Xmen though). Along with Hellboy and other comics.

Also there was a page that gave you the ins on celebrities like Martha Steward, Anderson Cooper, Donald Trump, Wyclef Jean, Ryan Seacrest and others. These themes include widgets (gadgets) that these folks use on their iGoogle pages. Some that can efficiently help you with your web surfing and some like the ones on Ashton Kutcher's page make me scratch my head... Clearly I have had a lot of time on my hands to do all this exploring of Google and its brand. Also now on Google calendar you can add a background to your calendars (just like your Gmail pages). They have added Google Labs to the calendar and probably on their task pages too. You never know what to expect from Google.

THe also launched Latitude for the iPhone, if you are up on the iPhone, Google unveiled Location for the mobile Safari browser. The only drawback is that its web based and not native so it wont run in the background like other native apps. Thats a problem to most, but you can prolly get to work if you got a jailbrake iPhone. (whatever that is). There are also some additions that will make it more user friendly, such as multiple searches for Google maps and a friend only "Likes" option in Reader...only for things that you follow though, but its cool, cause I wanna know who likes what I write... (HINT HINT) Also you can now unsubscribe to newsletters and its hella easy....if they could only do something for spam (unless i missed something) where once you report it as spam, then you never get other spam e-mails from the same addresses. DAMMIT I hate me some spam too. You can also add an option to your password recovery thingy where you can retrieve passwords via text message...

Those kids have out done themselves again...until next week.
