National French Fries Day...

The French Fry or Pommes Frites as the French call em...dates back to the 17th Century in BELGIUM not France. The inhabitants of the region which was known as the Spanish Netherlands (go figure that out) used to eat small fish with their meals... When the weather was too bad to fish, they would cut up potatoes to resemble the fish and fry them. That served as an excellent substitute.
July 13... a national holiday that NEEDS to be recognized by the federal government and IMO would be overwhelmingly ratified in a landslide vote. What red blooded American citizen do you know that CAN NOT resist a good french fry. Not one that I know. For years as I have grown into the man you see before you, I have had a certain affinity for the french fry. And to know that today is National French Fries Day has knocked me for the grandest of loops.

The french fry and I have a relationship that transcends love...As a child growing up that was the one thing that I knew was gonna always be good to eat (yes, iWas a picky eater)...and something that iKnew my grandmother would make anytime iAsked for it. We would have chicken and fries, fish and fries, burgers and fries, hot dogs and fries. Now dont get me wrong, there were other foods on the plate, but none more important than the french fries.

As I got into eating away from home...you know hittin' fast food joints and what have you. iAlways paid attention to the french fries, and the ways you could eat them. My first encounter with chilli cheese fries was maybe when iWas 7 or 8. iPlayed little league baseball and we won the first game of the season...after which our coaches took us to Frosto where we got anything we wanted, (as long as it was within reason). Being the adventurous kid, iOrdered the chili cheese fries and the Pepsi float, while the rest of the kids got burgers and fries and sodas. Needless to say...that summer iAte a gang of chili cheese fries cause we won a lot of games. Then there was my first McDonald's experience...LAWD HAMMERCY! iFeel in love with arguably the greatest french fries ever to hit the grease. I have no idea whether its the grease, the potato, or the fact that i know what they are gonna taste like that makes em so damn good. I even got a job at Mickey D's in high school just to get to the fries #FatBoyConfession

*insert Ric Flair bravado*
I've had fries at restaurants, hole in the walls, bars, and all the major and minor food chains all over the world...ive had em with chili, cheese, chili and cheese...loaded like a baked potato...with mayonnaise, mustard, and even cole slaw. You name it...I've had it. and they.ve always been good, seriously you can't mess up french fries...
*scene*

Today on yumsugar.com there was an article on the 4 Massively Underrated Toppings for French Fries...
1.) Kimchi
2.) Chutney
3.) Pastromi
4.) Tartar Sauce

I'm not too keen on fermented cabbage on top or pastromi...but im sure gonna go cut me up a potato and try some cranberry chutney RIGHT NOW...

Enjoy your day

Life Changes

"The Future is RIGHT HERE... A Google TV by Sony...starting at $599.99" - iGotta get one of these joints...TV and the internet all on the same screen and powered by GOOGLE!!!! more about that later on...iPromise.

The actual reason for today's entry is real simple - ME. Not that I'm simple, but it is what it is...On Wednesday May 26th, I was admitted into the hospital for a swollen foot / ankle and an ulcer on the top of my foot. What was to follow most definitely changed my life... I was diagnosed with Osteomylitis (a bone infection) in my 5th toe. After several hours of IV Antibiotics, an entire day and a half, I finally saw a doctor - just so happened to be a surgeon. The doctor told me that they would have to amputate my toe.

Most people would have by now stopped reading, but hopefully you'll read on...with a decision in front of me to either let them cut my toe off or let it get worse and spread to the rest of my foot and have the whole thing cut off... well you can best believe I said "TAKE IT" with no hesitation, discussion, or question. The surgery was to be performed the next morning at 10am. I psyched myself up to believe that wasnt nothing gonna go wrong and I was gonna be a-ok. I went ahead and had the procedure done. 2 hours after it was completed I WALKED to the window to get a urinal (LOL)...

At anyrate I was also diagnosed as a diabetic. I was floored! If you really know me (or read my previously posted entries) , I have a thing for sweets! Oreo's to be specific. So you could imagine my shock. Its been a good three weeks now and I have been following a set of rules that I have imposed on myself (thats because the idiots at the diabetic education center NEVER came to see me...all I got in the way of orders was a prescription for a glucometer) I check my blood sugar anywhere between 4-6 times a day with varied results...Im on a 1400 calorie meal plan (which is barely enough to fill up a small Ethiopian child), NO SWEETS, NO SMOKING, and NO DRINKING...

I had to get this out and what better way to do it than to write to my blog...I only got 10 followers and since I havent posted in 2 months I might have lost them. Now that I have all this free time on my hand, I'll probably post more... I'll also keep you guys posted on my progress. Im currently in a contact cast (this is my 3rd one...i get a new one every week) and my clinician said by the looks of things Ive got about 5 more weeks of casting... anyways Im OWT!!!!

Oh You Know I'm In!

With the upcoming end to the 2010-11 NBA regular season, comes the push for renewing and drumming up season tickets. Looks to me that the new owners of the Hornets (THE NBA) went ALL OUT [/sarcasm] with an ad campaign for next years ticket push. In the ad "noticable" New Orleanians and Gov. Bobby "Dumbass" Jindal are speaking on reason the city is so great and that they are behind the team and the city. The commercials start with the "Son of New Orleans" Drew Brees and ends with what seems to me to be the "Lil Brother" Chris Paul. Also in the spot are Mitch and Mary Landrieu, John Besh, Kermit Ruffins, Irvin Mayfield and even King Zulu 2011. The ads are everywhere... Billboards, Radio, and TV. Now! Here's the thing...

We all know how New Orleanians are... WE DON"T BACK SHIT RELATED TO SPORTS UNLESS THE TEAM IS WINNING! Now here is the twist... we can't win if we don't surround our best players with a better supporting cast, and we can't get a better supporting cast if we lose our best player. (Confused yet?) With last summer's Free Agency frenzy where we saw the "Decision" which led to LeBron James taking his talents to South Beach to join D. Wade and Chris Bosh...and the MeloDramatic trade of Carmelo to the Big Apple to form a union with Amare "The Knicks are Back" Stoudomire, (and what is suspected CP3 when he is eligible for free agency).

Aiight so what's the point in doin all this promotion and what nots to get "butts in the seats" when there is the possibility of Paul wanting to opt out of his contract, demand a trade, or pull a Baron Davis where he just doesnt want to play anymore and fakes an injury (not that its hard for lil man to get hurt...he plays so hard and intense that its inevitable). What needs to be done is to get the man some help. David West is done for the season and he was really (as much as I dont want to admit it) is the only other player that has stepped up to the plate. We made some moves that were condusive to us making a playoff push, but not necessarily the right moves. We picked up Trevor Ariza, Marco Bellinelli, Willie Green along with a great young coach in Monty Williams and an exec on the rise in Will Demps, BUT we lost a dynamic young player in Marcus Thornton in a trade deadline deal with Sacromento, that brought us power forward Carl Landry.

What we need is a compliment to Chris...(actually a few pieces to open up the floor and give us more options)...like a CENTER...a big man that is gonna defend the paint, rebound and bang with the big boys down low in the post. An active slasher shooting guard / small forward ala Scottie Pippin, but Ariza does a good job...he needs to up his scoring. I'm not a big David West fan cause he doesnt play his position like a prototypical power forward does... not saying that he isnt good, but when I think of power forwards cats like Dennis Rodman, Karl Malone, Horace Grant, Chris Webber and James Worthy come to mind. If you really IN...GET THIS MAN SOME HELP!!!!

Submitted from the upper deck from behind that damn post where you cant see shit...

#GeauxSaints

"We are the CHAMPIONS...of the World" - Queen
Even though the FailCoons beat the shit out the Carolina PantHERs to win the NFC South along with #1 seed and homefield during the playoffs (whick wont be that long) and we lost to the Tampered Bay Yuccaneers, the World Champion New Orleans Saints are STILL in the post season and STILL defending their championship. There are many haters out there in the world and wdgaf... (if you dont understand you need to get your acronyms game up)...I really think the bullshit comes in when folks have to demean my city. Roddy White made some assholesque statements via Twitter talkin bout how it was good for the Saints to win SuperBowl 44 cause the city would just crumble if they woulda lost...what kinda junk is that?
Drew Brees has put the team on his back despite injuries to key players... Reggie Bush was out 8 weeks with a broken fibula, Pierre Thomas was out forever with an ankle, add to the list Colston, Shockey, Dave Thomas, Sharper, Betts, Robinson have all spent time off hurt. We still finished the season with an 11-5 record. We made the playoffs and have to play the winner of the Seattle / St. Louis game. NOTE...whomever wins this game will win the NFC West with a 9-7 record...and we have already beaten BOTH of them. No worries here. We are still in control of our own destiny and arent afraid or in awe of ANY team. We just beat the Falcons Monday night so they arent even a threat... IN the Georgia Tent.
Granted we are the class of the NFC and the only team that has a remote chance of taking the crown from us is New England, (Who by the way smashed the Dolphins by like 4758924752 points) or the Philadelphia Eagles (Vick gives anybody fits) and if the Packers get in the playoffs can beat the Eagles. So regardless of what you cats say I aint a bit more worried.
Now what we need to concern ourselves with is getting healthy and executing better...which shouldnt be an issue. We are a very responsive / resilient team and have the eye of a tiger and the will of a (must I say it again) CHAMPION.
As far as the off season after we Party with the Lombardi again we need to focus on a couple of spots.
The Run Game...
can someone please show Reggie Bush the correct direction to run (FORWARD NOT BACKWARDS OR SIDEWAYS) and keep both hands on the ball?
can we keep Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory on the field and upright?
can we get rid of Ledell Betts (what kind of midget name is that?) and Julius Jones?
The Offensive Line...
Jerrod Bushrod please learn how to count (no false starts) and not hold even when you gettin beat
Jahri Evans...Dawg team, you got paid...now can you play like you did BEFORE you got that extra loot
Keep Drew clean please
THE DEFENSE...
More pressure on the opposition
Will Smith...picture the quarterback as your wife ala Bobby Bouche from the Waterboy
Cedric Ellis... play like you did at USC when you were a BEAST!
We need better outside linebackers cause the ones we got are just playing a little under their pay grade
Our corners are good, but are being taken advantage of...TAKE YA DAMN VITAMINS
Special Teams
Sweet lil ol' 8.5 lb Baby Garrett Hartley 20 yards is a shorter distance than 45. If you can bang from 45-48 you can hit a chip shot #DOBETTER
To team President and CEO Rita Benson LeBlanc...
Give Drew his money (he's worth it) and can we be a little more aggressive in free agency. Please and Thank You
Your loyal fans

Its 2011...

"Should old acquaintence be forgot..."
The present time is 12:50am on 1/1/11 and I have decided that one of my daily things is to blog more often. Not because I want to reblog foolishness or any entertainment "news"...but to really speak my mind and let the world into my little corner. Read my thoughts, feel what I am feeling, and just to get shit off my chest (which was the initial reason for me starting this thingy last summer...
Now on with the first entry for the year and its all about what I want to do this year...RESOLUTIONS!
Resolutions are supposedly a guideline to what you wanna do better, different, or more challenging. Some people set out to do this and that...stop smoking, lose weight, be kinder to the general population as it is. BLAH! What I wanna do for 2011 is really simple... I WANT TO DO BETTER! In all aspects of my life; whether its work, church, or just my everyday journey with what time I have left on the third rock from the son.
BUT! There are some things that I want to vent about...as far as resolutions are concerned...its just like lent. We make all these promises and what nots and then 30 minutes later something has gone terribly wrong. Most are things I've seen on Twitter so if you tweeted or re-tweeted any of the following things...Yes I'm talking to / about you.
1.) "I'm gonna leave all toxic relationships in 2010..." No you not! You gonna run with the same messy bitches that talk about the same people who arent in your circle of fools. You gonna deal with the same trifling ass nigga that you gonna keep laying down with and taking whatever proceeds you can get out of him (legal / illegal) by any and all means necessary. You gonna still be dealing with the same broad that you ran enough game on that you and both are actually believing the shit and are STILL delusional. And at any rate you or her is STILL gonna be "The Duck" in this relationship. You gonna still hang out with the same niggaz that are gonna game on you behind your back, hang along with you cause you got a "good heart" and you buying drinks, got ins at the club, or got a ride... Ima need yall to do better
2.) "In 2011, Im gonna stack this cheese" Once again you lie... whatever money you gonna get is gonna be spent on a various and sundried list of shit whether you can afford it or not. You gonna still wanna be "that nigga/bitch" in the club with your same toxic friends...You still gonna want to be first in line at Foot Locker when the new J's come out...You gonna still be wanting to spend 3 bills on True Religion jeans when your gas tank is almost on E...and lets not talk about runnin back and forth to the airport cause you wanna go to the Super Bowl (without a ticket) or to All Star Weekend (without a ticket) or the BET Hip Hop Awards (with/without a ticket...why would you really wanna go there in the first place). Be the first on your block with the newest phone or whatever the gadget of the month is... but yo kids need milk/diapers/a role model, you aint got no insurance, you called Entergy to get an extension on your bill - just bullshit that you aint done yet to say you "handled your business".
NOW CONVERSELY IF YOU CAN AFFORD ALL THAT SHIT AND STILL STACK YOUR BREAD...KEEP DOIN WHAT YOU DOIN AND DISREGARD THIS
3.) "I need a new man in 2011..." No you dont. What you need is an attitude adjustment and to stop acting like a bitch. If you got a good man, who has an education, goes to church AND believes in the Lord, no kids, and handles his business and you complaining about what he dont do...9 outta 10 YOU the one fucking up. Get off that man's back and see what he goes through eryday and applaud him for doin the right thing. Stop all that nag shit in his ear cause your girl got this, that and the other and you dont. Maybe she's working and got her own...now if she got a man that showers her with things and yours dont, but he's trying you cant be mad.... Now if yo man is a shiftless, trifling, sleep all day, do nothin ass nigga, by all means get a new man, but while you out there still get that attitude straightened out. Fellas this shit goes for you too...cause I know some of yall are caught in situations that you cant / wont get out of because of convience but playa...the pussy aint THAT good...do yourself a favor and DO BETTER
4.) "I'm gonna be the next big thing in 2011...watch and see"... NIGGA PLEASE you not Wayne, Em, Jigga, Trey, Nikki or whomever else is always in the "HOT" conversation. If you put the work in and are seriously on your grind and good enough to blow up, then do so. But if you still screaming "COMING SOON" and been screaming that shit for 3 years...STOP! Don't be mad UPS is hiring... BITCH PLEASE...you will NOT be America's Next Top Model, just because a nigga done told you how cute you are and how fine you are or cause a GWAC (guy with a camera) says he's gonna shoot you in bikinis or less and you gon be the next Buffie the Body cause you got hella ass and titties but look like Deacon Jones and you THINK you cute, then fall for it... BTW the crouched down backshot or the lean with it poses that you do for the pictureman in the club every weekend are NOT considered poses that will get you in a magazine. YOUNG NIGGA...unless you got THAT special talent that will make you the next Michael Jordan or the next Drew Brees you better have some kind of back up plan (read: GRADUATE from somebodies school), cause if you dont you gon end up like dude from Above The Rim flying off the roof.
5.) "My swag is gonna be on ________" ... First let's stop using the word "swag", its over, done, finished and most importantly overused and played out. If you have a certain persona use it to your advantage, but if you have to keep announcing your "s-word" is such and so then you really DON'T have one. You got a way of walking and conducting yourself, fine. Someone will see it and comment on it themselves. You gonna always "do you" and you gonna have to handle yourself accordingly...Set your own trends and don't follow them...be your own man/woman. Invent yourself first, then if that dont work re-invent yourself and keep on til you get it right...
At any rate...whatever it is you gonna do in 2011 do your best. And please (directed especially to young African Americans) STOP KILLING EACH OTHER...its not a good look... HAPPY NEW YEAR

LeBron James: From The King to That Nigga

"I guess that's why I'm here and I can't come back home / and guess when I heard that...when I came back home" Kanye West "Homecoming"

Aiight, now that the big business of the NBA Free Agency period is over (ie: The Decision) I'd like to give my opinion on this matter. The 3 Kings of Miami that is. First I'd like to commend King James, D-Wade, and Chris Bosh for "singlehandedly" pissing off the world, even if they didnt do it intentionally. (that really goes for LeBron cause he has made himself the Villain to the entire city of Cleveland and Cavalier Nation). You get kudos on that one. Secondly, showing that there is NO LONGER a "slave mentality" among pro athletes anymore. And finally gettin ready to put a hurt / assault / raping of the NBA for at least the next 6 years.

When LeBron set up this mini press circus called The Decision on ESPN on Thursday past, we should have known it was gonna be a big clusterfuck after he announced his intentions to either stay in Cleveland or move on to one of 5 other teams...The Clippers (which I knew was NOT gonna happen), The Bulls, The Knicks, The Nets, and the Heat. (I thought I'd list the teams just in case everyone reading this didnt know). Within minutes of The King saying he was gonna take his talents to South Beach and joining the Miami Heat, there was a mix of emotions all over. In M.I.AYO there was a myriad of excitement, laughter, hugs and tears of joy knowing that the reigning two time league MVP was on his way with his signature massive dunks, nail biting, and endorsement prowess (like Miami really needs that). In NYC there was another big let down...Chicago was like *shrug* lets keep it moving. While in Cleveland there were tears, jeers, and cats burning LeBron jerseys and anything else that adorned the man's likeness. The biggest thing tho was the scathing email from Cavs owner Dan Gilbert ripping James a new one for what he called "cowardly behavior". Callin the man the self proclaimed former King among other things, and guarenteeing that the Cavs would win a championship before the Heat would and that he is taking the Cleveland curse down south with him. (Like the South aint cursed enough...he coulda just left that out). In Kingly fashion, when asked about the images of people burning his jersey, James said "If I would have been traded, would my family burn down the organization?" Touche' my man...GOOD ANSWER!

Truthfully speaking...Does LeBron REALLY owe the city of Cleveland and the Cavs ANYTHING? Is it REALLY that bad that he left in anticipation of fulfilling the goal and dream of EVERY professional athlete? To them yes...to him no. That man spent 7 seasons playing in Cleveland and the money he generated for the organization and the city should have been clearly enough. The season before he got drafted the Cavs were 29th in attendance and up until this past season they were as high as 2nd...GTFOH with that bull...He has brought revenue to all the bars and restaurants in The Flats for the last 7 seasons and we not even gonna talk about money that team made off their share of the TV contracts, and league merchandising that bears the Cavalier logo. I really think the folks of Northern Ohio are salty as well as selfish. You dont see the people in Toronto talkin shit about Chris Bosh dippin out, nor the Raptors organization ethering him for his decision? DO YOU?

The 3 Kings as they were officially named by the PA announcer for the Heat at the welcoming party held in American Arena yesterday, really put a damper on the "Slave Mentality" of professional sports. They decided to make a pact to play together on a team and dominate, win championships and develop a legacy and a brand that will rival those of the Lakers, Bulls, and the Celtics. These 3 young me (Wade being the oldest at the ripe age of 28) got together and said "you know what? we good friends, we great ball players and in a year or so we can mesh these talents, get on the same team and run the league, while at the same time GETTIN PAID. (Terms of the deal released this morning were James and Bosh will make $110 MIL and Wade will make $107 MIL. over 6 years) Dont be mad if next year you see other "superstars" in other sports doing the SAME THING...NFL, MLB, and NHL and if you crackers want these niggas to "entertain you", by runnin fast, hittin hard and jumping high..."you gon pay what you owe" -Riley Freeman

The bottom line is that man made a decision that was best for him and his family. You cant fault a man for doin that. If Gilbert and the Cavs organization wanted him to stay there, they shoulda built a better product around the King to win a ring...c'mon man ANTWAIN JAMISON??? Are you serious? He should be baggin groceries at a Food Lion or something. Mo Williams? Alrighty then...and Leon Powe (he was still hurt from 08 when he was on the Celtics, now if that wasnt a dummy move and a waste of money, what was it) Delonte West? All he was good for was stashing weapons, not taking his medicine and supposedly doin the nasty with Gloria (LeBron's moms) that nigga was worthless from jumpstreet. And what I just saw was that Pat Riley is talkin to Derek Fisher about possibly joining Miami cause they wanna give him less money in LA (after they signed Steve Blake...yeah I know most of yall are saying WHO?) so it is what it is. Bron Bron, if you reading this (and I really doubt it) DO YOU MY NIGGA...if dont nobody else on earth think you did a good thing FUCK EM AND FEED EM PORK AND BEANS

And Im out, gettin online to order my King James Heat Jersey

Blatent racism in 2010???

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Rothlisberger in the past three off seasons has been involved with police in three different jurisdictions and has "escaped" facing charges and seemingly the wrath of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Can someone please tell me how the leagues Code of Conduct works. Dude has been accused twice for sexual assault (a kinder, gentler way of saying rape) and so far hasn't received a slap on the wrist or raised public consciousness, not to mention scrutiny of mainstream media and the worldwide sports leader ESPN.

Philly QB Michael Vick has knowledge of dog fighting on his property and everyone from PETA to Charlie Brown got shit to say. Former NY Giant Plaxico Burress accidentally shoots HIMSELF in the leg, gets jail time. Donte' Stallworth is involved in vehicular homicide, gets 30 days in jail and labeled damaged goods. Washington Wizard guard Gilbert Arenas waves an unloaded pistol in the locker room and the right to bear arms is suddenly hidden in a pile of red tape. What's really going on? I got one word for you.... RACISM!!!!

When will the nonsense cease? Apparently no time soon. God bless America (REAL TALK)

NFC Championship in The Big Easy

We started off 10-0, they said we couldn't beat Tom Terrific and we did. Three more wins, we had a minor setback and we lost to Tony Homo and the Cowgirls. They wrote us off. We got a first round bye and they said we gonna be rusty against Hurt Warner and the Cardinals..but we put the wham wham on that ass in the divisional game.

The media took all the focus off the Saints, the number ONE team in the NFC and decided to give all their attention to the second seeded Minnesota ViQueens and Brett "I wear Wrangler Jeans for real" Favre, and how he was gonna demolish the Saints and head to Miami. Guess what... Drew Brees and the Bless You Boys got in his face the entire game and are celebrating the NFC Championship and Favre's retirement on Bourbon Street. Who Dat!!!

See you in South Florida, bring your sunscreen.

Who Dat!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, put your hands together for the most disrespected professional football team of all time. The 2009 NFC South Champions, New Orleans Saints. All the news media (except Jim Henderson and the locals) are giving more coverage to teams like Dallas, Minnesota, and New York Jets and mention the Saints as an after thought. ESPN gave the Cowgirls 10 minutes virtually crowning them the NFC representatives in the Super Bowl, and 3 minutes to the Black and Gold. WTF!!!

We have the highest ranked offense in the league. Have beaten the "best" of all teams and still get pushed to the side like a D2 college team. With weapons like Brees, Colston, Bush, Shockey, and Thomas, a bend but don't break defense, you GOTTA give them boys some respect. Fox analyst and former Giant defensive end Michael Strahan is the biggest Saints hater of ALL time. No matter who they play the gapped tooth wonder will pick against em. They could play against a Pop Warner team and he is gonna bet the farm against the boys.

I hope they get to Miami and drop kick the hell outta whomever. You better hope it don't happen, cause we gonna tear the city down. Me personally Ima camp out in front of foot locker on the corner of Canal and Bourbon streets, waitin for a "Do the Right Thing" garbage can through the window so I can hit somethin!

This goes out to Strahan and the Saints haters...
"We number 1-2, win (you), 3-4 (win some more), 5-6 (win again), 7-8 (win again), 9-10 (win again) win (again), win (again), win (again), win (again), win (again), win (again)" - Drew Brees

STFU

What the hell is goin on with all these people talkin real wreckless these days? The old folks always said, it's better to be seen and not heard. Conan O'Brian needs to heed that advice. He said if they push his show, The Tonight Show back 30 minutes to let Jay Leno in following the local news he's gonna walk. I said from the start that he was not the one to host that show once Jay said he was trying to give it up. But since I'm not an exec at NBC, I had no say so in the matter. If Conan does leave the network I'm pretty sure that he can always land his offbeat humor somewhere else.

Present, former, and hopeful political figures let words fly out of their mouths without processing what's gonna come out. Harry Reid of Nevada said the President was light skinned and didn't speak with a "negro" dialect, and that was key to his successful bid for the White House. Oops dummy! Luckily he was excused by the Oval office for his words of stupidity.

Former Illinois Govenor Blegojevich said he was "blacker than the President". Now that sounded like a skit from The Chappell Show to me. What made him open his piehole and say that. Matter of fact why is he even in front of tv cameras and microphones anyway? He had his 15 minutes when he got kicked out of his office for an assortment of dumb stuff he did.

All this nonsense has spawned a website, www.theconversationonrace.com. Voice your opinion if you care to.

Closer to home, Mayorial hopeful John Georges was quoted twice saying dumbshit. One statement referring to the new LSU hospital in downtown New Orleans, would make the footprint of the city look like that of a plantation. A plantation? Are you serious???? Then turned around a said he was an African American candidate, I mean a candidate for African Americans, I meant a candidate with the support of African Americans. What an idiot. In a campaign commercial he said he would re-open Charity Hospital. He doesn't have the authority to do so as Mayor, cause it's a state facility. Oh well, stupid is as stupid does.

Oh well...it is what it is. I'm Finns head out and just spew non sensical foolishness for the hell of it and see what happens. BTW, even though this is off topic, Moral Oral on adult swim is the craziest cartoon.

Catch a Tiger, let him go...

Aiight, I've waited far too long to blog and to respond to the Tiger Woods "story", so here it is...

I have mixed views and emotions about Eldrick "Tiger" Woods and the recent media attention that his PERSONAL life has gotten recently. We all knew that it would be a matter of time before his "squeaky clean" image would come into question. Last Friday there was an accident in the driveway / next door neighbors house, where Woods was leaving his house (as one of the neighbors saw it) barefoot at 3 am. He banged his LEASED Cadillac Escalade into a fire hydrant and then a tree. Reports say that he was injured and his wife used a 3 iron to get him out of the vehicle. BLAH BLAH SKIPPY (you all know what was reported). He went to the hospital, got treated, was released and returned home, straight into seclusion. There were statements on his website, making references to "transgressions against his family that he was ashamed of". That should have been a wrap, but NOOOOOOO... Now all of the sudden there are women (all Caucasian at that) that are coming out of the woodworks saying that they have had relations and rendezvous with the PGA's shining knight. All this being said his "image" is being questioned and I have a something to say about it...

First of all...We (Black people) are at odds with Tiger. He has described his ethnicity as "Caublasian", a combination of Caucasian, Black, and Asian. Now it is known that his mother is an Asian woman and his father was a Black man...Where does the caucasian come in at? The human ethnic equation always has interested me, especially when people say they are a "quarter" of this, or part that. Is that some new math or something, cause where I come from if you got a drop of "Nigga Blood" in the mix, YOUZE A NIGGA! Strike one bruh.

Secondly, your wife is a white woman. I dont have a problem with it cause thats your thing and I know plenty brothers that rock with Snow Bunnies, regularly, consistantly and exclusively. Though there are plenty sisters that give you the side eye, cause they dont have their hooks in you (and your bank account), many of them give you the other side eye, cause she aint that hot son. The dude that hooked yall up is a herb, cause she was his "nanny", before he got tired of smashin her, and his "transgressions against his family" were revealed. Even though her family is of some government capacity in her native SWEDEN! (dude who really gets down with the Swiss, besides other Sweeds, maybe some ham or turkey) She is the Webster's Dictionary definition of Euro Trash. Then the women that you creeped with were white women. When are you gonna figure it our? Or maybe I'm slow. Its my understanding that the woman from New York, is some sort of "party promoter" (read:HO) and denied having a physical relation with you, then changed her story and said that she did. So she is probably trying to cash in on your status / situation to get her 15 minutes of limelight. Steeeeerike twooooooooooooo

The PGA has been waiting for you to slip up. You really are the anti golfer, even though you have brought a resurgence and exposure to the game of golf, you aint nothin but the brunt of plenty jokes. What do you call 300 white guys chasing 1 black guy? The PGA tour... (insert canned laughter here). Conan O'Brian, George Lopez, Jay Leno, and even the poster child for cheaters David Letterman all have cracked on you this past week and with your wife and her mother rushing to the hospital followed by Harvey Levin and the TMZ people, the Woods' have given them more ammunition to hit you with more jokes for the next couple weeks til something else pops up. Even D-list syndicated radio morning show host Big Boy from Big Boy's Neighborhood had a parody on you using the Jay Z song Empire State of Mind, called Dork State of Mind, They even used a sampling of one of those voice mails (now how those get released?) Not to mention the thingy during the Jacksonville Jags game where there was a blonde woman chasing a tiger with a golf club...and your popularity amongst Americans is down to 39%...And thats strike three kid, Sit on it Potsie

All your major sponsers (Nike, Gatorade *who pulled your drink*, AT&T, Gillette, and EA Sports) are standing behind you, so far they havent completely backed out on you, cause you make THEM money at one point or another. Even though none of your ads have run on primetime television since November 29th. ESPN analyst and former athlete / coach Herm Edwards said it doesnt even matter if you lose your endorsements, you dont need any extra money, cause youre the GREATEST GOLFER OF ALL TIME. This from a cat that has been fired twice for sure and has never won a major ANYTHING.

Im gonna give you a plausible solution that can either get you off the hook or deeper in the fire, depending on how you pull it off... Being that you are a BILLIONAIRE, write a check dude... Start introducing yourself to African American women, they NEVER turn down large amounts of money... maybe a combination of the two. If you continue to deal with white women, you may want to write a check first and get some kinda paperwork stating that they gotta keep their mouths shut. Additionally instead of "hiding" behind your computer in your khakis, get you a pair of Jordans, some jeans, a white tee shirt and be the nigga they callin you. Staying inside only makes things worse. Get it off your chest, speak on it... call the homie Terrell Owens and get explicit instructions on how to tell it like it is.

GEAUX SAINTS... LOL @ESPN

"Who dat said they gon beat dem Saints?" - Everybody in the city of New Orleans at some point today after the Black and Gold beat the Miami Dolphins 46-34

Alrighty, lets see who rode with the Saints today? Mike Ditka (former coach of the team, current ESPN analyst) NO... Marshall Faulk (former NFL MVP and NFL Network analyst, did I mention he is from New Orleans and prepped at GW Carver High School) NOPE... Michael Strahan ( Fox Sports analyst and former New York Giant who guaranteed that the GiANTS would beat the Saints two weeks ago) Hell naw! The only cat on television that has been riding with the Saints the entire season is Terry Bradshaw from Fox Sports. In his playing days he was considered a dumb quarterback, even tho he has won 4 Super Bowls, seems like an Einstein compared to his "smarter", more "knowledgeable" counterparts.

ESPN is dying over there in Bristol, Connecticut, cause they have not given the team its props at all. First it was they aint play nobody, then after they crushed Mark San"chise" and the Jets it was aiight they had a good game and the new poster boy for the NFL didnt have a good game. Then when we beat the snot out of the Giants, their number one ranked defense and homeboy Eli Manning, the excuse was we had a bye week and extra time to rest up and blah blah blah. This week they were talkin about how are they gonna stop the "Wildcat" offense, Ricky Williams, Ronnie Brown, and how Joey "Mr Big Mouth" Porter and the Miami defense was gonna shut us down. Well after a 24-10 first half, everyone wrote em off, except Bradshaw and the Saints came out and put on a show for the NFL and they better take notice, cause its on.

Drew Brees took care of business dispite throwing 3 interceptions and being sacked 5 times. Brees thew for almost 300 yards and ran for two scores. Reggie Bush ran a reverse and hurdled himself 7 yards for a touchdown. Jeremy Shockey (who played college ball at the University of Miami) had over a 100 yards receiving (first time in 3 years might I add), Mike Bell, Marques Colston, Devery Henderson and that awesome defense did their thing too. Darren Sharper and Tracy Porter both picked off Chad Henne and took em to the house for pick 6's. Sharper is one short of Hall of Famer Rod Woodson for the career lead in interception returns for touchdowns. What more can they do? Will they have to win two games in one day to get some respect from broadcast media?

Not even Reggie Bush's out the blue statement that theSaints could go undefeated, could get the team more than 2 minutes on PTI this afternoon. What is really goin on with the sports channels and my city? They spend more time talkin about Brett Favre goin back to Green Bay to play against the Vikings and Sherm Lewis calling plays for the Redskins 2 weeks after calling bingo numbers in a Detroit Retirement Center, than on possibly the team that can shatter all types of yardage and scoring records this season. I really hope that on February 7th they lift the Lombardi trophy in Miami and the renegade Jeremy Shockey shoots the bird at the camera while poppin a bottle.

C'mon Son!

Aiight, I was tryin to blog last night, but there was an error (BLAME GOOGLE...wow that hurt my heart to say that). So at any rate I'mma give yall the rundown on some of the foolishness that has gone on during the past week. And taking a page out of the Ed Lover book...we gon rock the "C'mon Son".

First off in the world of Sports... Isiah Thomas gets called out by Magic Johnson (his close friend) because of some things that Zeke said about Magic in a new book by Jackie McMIllian. There was some conversation with Isiah and Thomas was said to have been spreading rumors that Magic was gay. C'MON SON! You kissed the man on the cheek in front of Michael Jordan, God, and the entire world at the 88 All Star game, that YOU lobbied to get Magic in...what a buster.

Richard Seymour of the Oakland Raiders went on record, during a Cincinnati radio show saying that the Raiders were gonna make the playoffs. Clearly he hit his head on something cause JaMarcus Russell is NOT Tom Brady, Tom Cable is NOT Bill Belichek, and they play in the AFC West where the Denver Broncos are 6-0. C'MON SON! You are not in Boston anymore. You not even the best defensive player on your team. So what you got rings, but that cat wearing number 21 is the TRUTH.

"The best rapper alive" Lil Wayne pled guilty to gun possession stemming from a 2007 arrest in New York city after his first headlining show in the big apple. His sentencing date is in February and it has been noted that as part of his plea agreement, he will do a year in prison. Sounds familiar, (sorta). C'MON SON...you are NOT T.I.! You got 4 months...get in the studio and put it down, of course you aint gonna lose any momentum. But just know that Jay is still out there and Blueprint 3 is still the hottest joint out right now...

Keepin with the hometown, Louisiana State Representative Austin Badon, is expected to drop OUT of the 2010 New Orleans Mayorial Race. Now here is the catch. He is expected to also announce he is going to run for New Orleans City Councilman for District E (New Orleans East)...C'MON SON! Make up your mind. I have on good authority that you arent the sharpest pencil in the box, but did you have to do it like that? What were you thinking about? Also Troy Henry has announced that he WILL throw his hat in the ring for the Mayor's race. Dude has NO political background...but as he puts it, his professional background and knowledge of corporate America will make him the obvious choice. (Sounds like Ray Nagin)...but dude C'MON SON! You used to work for Enron!

And just for the haters...The Saints are 5-0 and goin to Miami this weekend. They gonna win the game... I sure wish that ESPN would stop suckin up to Brett Favre and give Drew Brees and the Black and Gold some respect. And basketball season is a week awway...Let's GEAUX Hornets!

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly of the 2009 Hip Hop Honors show

"Def Jam...tells you who I am" - Public Enemy

Tonight, I got the chance to watch the 2009 VH1 Hip Hop Honors...Def Jam Records 25. So for those who didnt see it, wanted to see it or saw it and didnt really feel it (and how couldnt you), Ima break it down with the real. You already know I got issue with the way some of this shit was done.

Being a real hip hop head, I was kinda hyped up to see the show. I mean think about it, from 1984 until the day the show was taped Def Jam (as was stated in the program) is the longest and most established rap label of all time. The catalogue has got to be the best collection of music outside of the complete Motown, The Beatles and Michael Jackson. With a line up that reads like the New York Yankees of Rap, Jay Z, LL Cool J, Ludacris, DMX, Ja Rule, Chrisette Michelle you would expect one of the greatest shows ever created and broadcasted. Well Ima give you the Good, Bad, and the Ugly of it all.

First of all.... THE GOOD.

Public Enemy - Chuck D still got it, the energy was high and the funny part about it (which could be listed under the bad) was they were the second act to perform. Flav did his usual and even though he has done many reality shows from The Surreal Life to Flavor of Love 1, 2, and 3 his real love is the stage, and he was all over it.

EPMD - Even though they only did one verse of "The Crossover' it was hella good to see these guys on stage again and gettin so much love from the crowd. During the performance you could see Russell Simmons' face and he had that "Damn, we need to put those cats back out" look on his face. PMD still rockin a fisherman's hat and it was all Business As Usual.

ONYX - Yes, these dudes reunited for the event and did their biggest hit "Slam" and went clean off. Freddro Starr, Sonny Cheeba, and Sticky Fingaz threw down like they had just released that song and hadnt been on TV Shows from Moesha to Law and Order. And when Sticky did his verse standing on top of a speaker just sent it over the top.

Method Man and Redman - The Cheech and Chong of Rap did their hit song "Da Rockweiler" from the Blackout cd and were really on some high energy, the only thing that pissed me off was since the song was so short, I would have perferred to hear "How High" either as a capper of as the main joint... but I digress. Reggie Noble still knows how to command the stage and the mic. He shoulda done a solo song too. LOL

The vignettes were hot and they put a lot of historic perspective to what the idea behind the label, the hustle in the label, and who and what made it as successful as it is.

THE BAD

The Gym Class Heroes and the Legendary Roots Crew were the "house band" and even though they held it together, IMO it was overkill. GCH should have just made an appearance and got ghost. I do understand that alot of the early Def Jam songs were guitar driven, but dude was way extra....sheesh

Tracy Morgan...VH1 needs to find another host for these joints. Nothin about him says hip hop except his New York accent and if you ask me I think its overdone. He tries to hard. I would have rathered LL Cool J being the host, especially since he was the labels first HIT artist, but he sorta had to be there to host...which brings me to this.

NO SHOWS! No LL Cool J, No Slick Rick, No Kanye, and No Jay Z. You mean to tell me that your biggest and best known acts dont perform. LL was in a video clip, recounting how he got in with the label. It was a humorous story and laid the foundation for the night (cause it showed hellafied hustle and perseverance) The shitty part was that Black Thought from The Roots and Eminem performed Radio. WTF!!!! Fabolous performs "I'll Be" with Foxy Brown (who looked like she had a breast job and robbed Lady Gaga off stage) and Wale does Kayne's "Touch The Sky"...I was waiting on him to jump on stage and holla..."Wale, Ima let you finish, but I had the greatest version of this song of ALL TIME...I know wishful thinking. If you can get Proffesor Griff and the S1W's, Ghostface Killah, and Ja Rule to come out of witness protection then why not have Jay, LL, and Kanye to show their faces, and Slick Rick was just honored by VH1 last year or year before last so I know they still had a contact number....

Warren G and Trey Songz doin "Regulator"
it really is a classic with NATE DOGG on it, not Trey Songz... and Rick Ross doin "Hustlin'" like it came out yesterday. White folk are so gullible. He really had them rockin like he just released that song and nobody knew that was his first single.

THE UGLY

The outfit Foxy Brown had on...dont get me wrong I have been appreciating Inga's style and her figure since day 1, but she needs to sue whoever ruined the best set of breast in hip hop, (whether it was a plastic surgeon, a baby, or some wack dude) and whomever decided to put that ugly ass outfit she had on. The top looked like a matador cape on top of a BBW swimsuit with a Daffy Duck feather skirt.

Rick Ross' outfit... when you that big and that dark, you shouldnt wear red, and definitely not a floppy red Kangol hat either. He looked like Grimace from McDonald's evil twin or something.

VH1 played the guess who card to the hilt too. How many times did they mention Rihanna?? Where was she? NOT THERE...thats her label too. Chris Brown was nowhere close to being in the building. Whats up with that VH1? You pulled a BET crackhead move with that one. Then they kept movin Rick Rubin in the balconey. First he was sitting next to Russell Simmons, then he was sittin next to Lyor Cohen, and Kevin Lyles moved next to Russell. Then they had him sittin in between Chris Rock and some former EVP chick. What in the hell was Chris Rock doin sittin on the first row anyway. What the hell was up with Eve and her outfit? Lil bitty black dress that rode up erytime she took a step.

All that aside it was a good show...

Blah @ people

"Hey you! Get off my cloud/ you dont know me and you dont know my style" - Wu Tang Clan "METHOD MAN"

Today's blog is really a rant... Those who know me, know that I dont really get down with foolishness. Especially when whomever brings the foolishness my way are supposedly close to me. The operative word there is "supposedly". So with that being said here is the deal.

There is this person that I am (even though, Im fussin about it) very fond of. We have some mutual friends and somewhat know each others families. At anyrate, she tells me that she wants to chill with me somewhat on a personal relationship tip. As I said I am somewhat fond of her and I was down for whatever. We have had conversations on the phone, in person, and what have you, and it has even gotten physical (not what you thinking, but a kiss here, a hug there). She has on several occasions said that she wants to take whatever it is we have to the next level, to which I have once again agreed to work with it...

This past weekend, we were supposed to get together and when I called to confirm that we are meeting up, I got no answer...I got voice mail...and once she picked up the phone and played like she couldnt hear me on the line. (That really pisses me off cause we share the same phone company so that shouldnt have been an issue). I gave her a call today and it went straight to voice mail, I called back and the phone was cut off. WOW at that.

The moral of the story is that if you gonna start some shit, finish it, if you cant finish it at least "woman up" and admit that you cant deal with what YOU started. I could see if I was the one that initiated the whole thing, then I could see all that foolishness. Well needless to say, maybe she got some issues that she has to take care of on her end and Ima still be cool with her and whatever she wants to do. But you can best believe I'm not gonna act like a damn fool on her ass...she got it comin to her. In the words of my man Keshawn Johnson "C'MON MAN!" get ya shit together....

"and im OWT bitches"

Peace to my dog Greg Square...he been tellin me to blog for about 2 weeks now, so here it is dude

What the feezy???

"Just like that I cram to understand you" MC Lyte (back in the days)

I am trying to understand what it is that people want from a small business. Being the owner of a small business, I get approached by all walks of life, inquiring about my services. Recently I have heard "complaints" about my prices, which I feel are so low that I am actually LOSING MONEY in a sense. Im gonna keep it real with my cyber family, just as I do with the cats I meet and talk to on a daily basis. I shoot "instants" at a bar that I frequent...at the insistance of the owner of the establishment (we cool like that...) I charge $10 for a 4X6 print. IMO thats not a bad price, because when I shot at another venue in the city, I was charging $20 for the same size picture and well the results were different (more in my favorite). Tonight a dude came up to me with all kinds of "bling" on, fronting buying bottles, food, and what have you. He asked what the pictures were goin for, and I told him. He jumped fly right quick saying that $10 was far too much. I told him that I would cut him a deal if he took multiples or if his crew wanted copies of the photo. He told me that I was outta my mind and he wasnt gonna take a picture. I was like cool, your loss, cause Im a beast with this thing and can even make YOU look good. He then commences to tell his folks not to do business with me (once again, im cool). While all that nonsense was goin on, I counted up how much money he had spent on food and drinks and realized that dude was fronting really hard and prolly only had $5 left in his pocket. (Sounds like a refund check baller to me).

I spoke with a close personal friend of mine, who is the point person for her soroities line reunion. She told me that they wanted a photographer to shoot pictures of the sorors and their friends and families during their reunion weekend. I was down with it, cause 1.) It was an oppertunity to make a nice piece of change 2.) I can promote my business and lock in on future work 3.) she has been my friend for some years and I would do damn near anything for her (as long as it was legal). I have gone as far as reaching out to an artist to get some custom work done that I can use ONLY for their event. **wink wink** and during the conversation realized that I have to set up good package prices to ensure that I walk away from the weekend with a profit. This conversation happened the other day...

me: Hey K, how you doin?
K: Great, I had you on my list of people to call this weekend
me: whats goin on? is something changed from our last convo?
K: No, we are still good to go, even though Soror R said that $20 was too much to spend on an 8X10 photo...
me: are you serious???? do you know how much its gonna cost me to print 1 of those up for? I'm not making much from it.
K: I know, dont change your price...this hoe (her words) is just cheap as hell, and I think she is tryin to pull a fast one.
me: thats cool...I aint sweating her, she wont be buying any pictures, but when she sees the rest of em, she'll be looking for me in the daytime with a flashlight...

By the way Soror R...is a doctor here in the city and makes enough money to pay for all 20 packages and wont even miss it. Thats sad...

Finally,
I shot a wedding a couple of weeks back, and considering that dude and his wife were on a strict budget (in other words, they spent too much money on bullshit) I cut them a hella good deal, one in where again I was gonna end up making a profit, but not what other photographers in the area were making. Dude had the audacity to want to make installments...i agreed, cause at the time I didnt really have a side hustle at the time. The week before the wedding, he shoulda been completely paid in full (mind you I was out of town 5 weeks and he could have been paid for the services), he comes up with this. "Dude, Ima pay you $100 today and the balance after you get us the pictures and the dvd." I was like "WHAT??? What kinda bullshit you tryin to pull potna?" I told him that I was a professional and that I wasnt thinkin about this nonsense. So instead of refunding the monies I already had collected or cancelling on him, I went ahead and shot his wedding. I have yet to see the balance and he has yet to see his stuff, but calls me twice this week and wants to talk smack about, where his shit's at. I told him that the next time he calls me he better be calling me to say, "Gus, I gotcha money" to which I will say, "I gotcha stuff, where we gonna meet?"

Why do my people always think that a black owned business has to cater to their needs as opposed to a white owned business who they pay upfront, with no hassle, no haggling, no foolishness? I really cram to understand.

Aiight here I go...

"It's been a long time...I shouldn't have left you" Rakim, "Paid In Full"

Aiight I've been away for two weeks and some change, but I havent been idle... I'm working on a masterplan, but since its raining cats and dogs here, I had time to gets some things off my chest.

Since I have been away...former Falcon QB Michael Vick got a gig in Philly, former Mets starting pitcher Pedro Martinez got a gig in Philly, former Indians starting pitcher Cliff Lee got a gig in Philly (are you seeing a trend goin on in Philly?) Mr. "I just cant stay retired" Brett Favre, signed with the Minnesota Vikings, looking like he just stepped off a pig farm at that. Allen Iverson still doesnt have a job, even though he said he is ready to play and "next time you see me, its gonna look like i just left Georgetown".. WTH?? Other comings and goings in sports HR. Marvin Harrison, Derrick Brooks, Warrick Dunn, and Adam "Pac Man" Jones have NO job. Denver wideout Brandon Marshall has a job, but wants to get traded, new head coach Josh McDaniels heard all that noise and demoted him to the practice squad. A classic example of a cat not being greatful for his gifts and blessings.

Cleveland Brown wideout got a season long suspension after serving 26 days on a vehicular manslaughter charge that he pled guilty to, while former New York Giant receiver Plaxico Burress pled guilty to weapons charges and got two years in the bing...HE SHOT HIMSELF! How do you inflict bodily harm on yourself and get 2 years with 2 more years supervised probation and probably a year suspension from the league? OH WELL!

Tiger blew a lead in the PGA, Shaq vs Big Ben was "entertaining", Venus and Serena by a stake in the Miami Dolphins football team, and the T.O. show is starting to lose steam with me.... Oh well, I still love Rosario and Oreo's so sue me...

A true living legend... from New Orleans

Morning family,
Last night, I was witness to a true once in a lifetime event. Industry Influence 22 (aiight it happens once a month, but not like this) was totally off the chain. There was the usual hobknobbin and networking goin on, and Go DJ EF Cuttin on the ones and twos...but the moment of the night was when "The Biggest Mama" Mia X showed up and showed out for the spotlight section.

Mia (a personal friend for at least 21 years) told her story... from New York Inc. (Shout out to Denny, Mannie, Wop, and Shorty) to her recording The Payback with Diamond and DJ Bigg Cheez (Psychoward DJ's), to her non commital relationship with Master P and No Limit Records. Did you know that she was a major part in over 60 MILLION records sold worldwide? A true showstopper out that 7th Ward. How many female emcee's can say that huh?

She went on to discuss her future plans, she has a reality show with R&B Singer (and my cousin) Monica, a show of her own that she is developing where she goes out and finds those with talent. This isnt an American Idol type deal but the twist is... these folks are addicts. She wants to get them treatment, get em clean, and offer the oppty to record a song and maybe get outta that rut they are stuck in. She also, spoke on her activism as the need for Federal Aid for victims of Hurricane Katrina and the way tables turned when other tragedies in other parts of the country had "disasters" and what they felt like when they needed help...

Mia also spoke on her place in Hip Hop and how she and the genre broke up several times but she always went back to it..now thats love. My highlight of the event was photographing a mini No Limit Reunion with Mia, KLC and Moby Dick (from Beats by the Pound) and Mr. Serv On. And even though I have connections with all of them that span at least 15 years, its always like the first time with them. Now if I could only get them in front of my camera on a location and shoot some images, I can kick off this book project just the right way... Shouts out to Wild Wayne and Sess 4-5 for continuing to put on these events and helping in the progress and archiving of New Orleans music, culture, and legacies

At anyrate pictures to come...

Hornets make another move...maybe in the right direction

Dateline New Orleans... Just a day after swapping centers with the Charlotte Bobcats, my New Orleans Hornets sign free agent forward Ike Diogu and as usual they are keeping hush hush about the terms of the deal (it'll come out sooner or later though, you can best believe that). Diogu was the 9th overall draft choice of the Golden State Warriors in 2005. Since then he has been traded to Indiana with Mike Dunleavy, Troy Murphy and Keith McLeod for Stephan Jackson, Al Harrington, Sarunas Jasikevicius and Josh Powell... Then on draft night in 08 he gets traded to the Blazers along with the draft rights to Jerryd Bayless for Jarrett Jack, Josh McRoberts (i didnt even know he had gotten drafted) and the rights to Brandon Rush. and later to Sacramento for the Bulls' Michael Ruffin, (i dont know how that worked out but it did)..

This move may shore up some of the backcourt issues, that we have had at the forward spots, even though he is only 6'9". Only an inch shorter than newly acquired center Emeka Okafor, but packs on muscle and a 7'4" wingspan...this dude has length (NO HOMO). Hopefully he fits in and gets the job done...I still think we should have kept Tyson and gotten rid of David West. If you think Im hating now, just wait till the season starts...
