No matter how much they hate on dude, he is still the number one ranked golfer in the PGA and still better than a lot of those cats. I'm pretty sure that if he was caucasion he wouldnt get all this chit chat behind his actions and reactions. Y'all remember when Fuzzy Zoeller made the infamous "I dont care what he serves next year as long as it aint fried chicken and collard greens". What kinda brain freeze was he having that day. The thing that people fail to realize is that no matter what they say about him, they can't deny that he is in the upper echelon of his sport and the greatest of his generation. Who's better than him? Mickelson has trouble beating hiim, even on his best days, Woods got that number. Sergio Garcia? Who is he again? John Daly and his techni-colored pants need to call it a day (they are really some ugly pants and I dont care how much money thay paying him, he should only wear them joints ONCE a tournament, like on the first day when it dont matter). This fellow is a golfing god. He putted with Arnold Palmer on the Mike Douglas Show at the age of 2, was featured in Golf Digest at the age of 5. Won 3 ametuer championships in a row as a Stanford student athlete and doesnt fall for the sterotypical Black athlete (minus the white wife) he hasnt been in a club making it rain, he doesnt pack a pistol when he goes out. He is always classy and does his best to be accomidating to those that approach him for interviews, autographs and pictures....On the lighter side of his departure from the Open, Woods was asked what he was gonna do next and with a lot of sarcasm in his voice replied, "I'm going home, get something to eat, I'm kinda hungry." Touche' mon ami, now take that, Mr. Fancy Pants.
It's being reported that Dwyane Wade is pushing hard for the Miami Heat to pick up free agent Lamar "Candyman" Odom, since the Lakers have pulled their offer off the table. This is a good move for Odom, even if they are only gonna offer him a 5 year 34 million dollar deal, cause if he doesnt get the $10 million a year that he wants, he will at least be collecting a paycheck and be playing for a team that can most likely use his skills. Even though I think he may still come off the bench, cause he aint movin Michael Beasley from the starting lineup. As a Hornets fan thats also good cause now we wont have to face the Lakers with the Momba, Artest, and Odom. Also in NBA news (and non news), D. Wade and shoe maker Converse have parted ways...he has signed to the Jordan Brand division of Nike where he joins Hornets Chris Paul, Nuggets Carmello Anthony, and New York Yankees Derek Jeter...its a good thing too cause aint nobody rockin Converse unless they are Chuck Taylors....The Utah Jazz matched an offer for Forward Paul Milsaps to keep him from going to the Portland Trailblazers. The Celtics sign former Indiana Pacer guard / small forward Marquis Daniels for the biannual exception for about $1.9 million. Daniels is a solid role player and this adds depth to the Celtic's bench...they lookin to go 12 deep huh? Go C's. Houston starting center Yao Ming has scheduled surgery on his big ass left foot and will more than likely miss the entire 2009-10 season. This is good for the Ming Dynasty as far as his health is concerned, but bad for the Rockets and his career (it may be a career ender.) The other L.A. team the Clippers must really be impressed with first round pick Blake Griffin cause they traded big man Zach Randolph to the Memphis Grizzllies for (of all people) Quinten Richardson, who used to play for the Clippers a few seasons ago. This has gotta be a bummer for this guy, he was just traded from the Knicks to the Grizz, he is goin from bad to worse, to the worst. That and he goes back to L.A. where he is gonna bump into his ex Brandy somewhere and he prolly gone cry, what a dummy. And my beloved New Orleans Hornets are not makin any moves to land an impact free agant and are gonna trot the ponies they already had back on to the floor in the Greenhouse on Girod...they really needed a big man with some skill and body to bang in the post, but I guess we gonna play run and gun ball. Which would be even better, Byran Scott played on Laker teams with MAGIC JOHNSON, he should be able to get the same efforts outta the Paul and company, that Pat Riley got out of him and the Showtime crew. Oh well thats how the ball bounces.
BTW Reggie Bush was overseas in Africa with Kim Kardashian...WOW, shouldnt he be gettin ready to go to training camp or something....Damn her and her ass.
and I'm OWT
**UPDATE**
Quentin Richardson has been traded again...this time to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a gang of bums...Sebastian Telfair, Mark Madsen, and Craig Smith
